I need to add music to my elements 15 video and nothing works.  Not one mode will allow me to add the song "Revolution" by the Beatles no matter what the source is. I've tried my CD music, iTunes, Groove Music ... what else do I need to add this song?  Please help asap.  Thank you!

Hi oliviam,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forum.

I understand you are facing issue with adding music files (CD music, iTunes, Groove Music) etc in Adobe Premiere Elements.

Basically, the music files that you have in these sources are restricted to using them for edting or any other purpose for avoiding piracy.

I would advise you to use .mp3 files for same song or sound tracks & you should not face any issue while using them in your project.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Actually, mp3 files have been known to cause problems with Premiere Elements and Premiere Pro.

The preferred file format is wav.

Hi, I have added a track from my itunes collection - file type MPEG-4 to a video in Adobe Sparks with not problem, but are there any issues with me using a commercial track on my video - emailing link as a Christmas card to friends. What are the legalities or not of adding my own music?  Thanks

First, this is not an Adobe Sparks forum.  It is for Premiere Elements.

That said, it is generally considered a bad idea and against copy right laws to use anybody's work without their permission.   It can functionally work and maybe nobody will chase you unless you are making money off of someone else's work.

However, YouTube (and others) have a system in place to try to identify when you are using someone else's work and your Christmas card will freeze.  iTunes also has a system in place for that.

The better idea is to look for music that you have rights to use.
