The Action Bar is the bar that runs along the bottom of the interface. It used to be where all of the program's tools were accessed, so it's kind of an archaic term.

Most tools in current versions of the program are accessed now via the Toolbar, which runs along the right side of the interface. Motion Tracking can be found under the Tools button on this Toolbar.

Hi, running into this same issue and am still very unclear where this action bar is. Which "interface" are you talking about steve? Are you able to include a screengrab?

Alternatively if anyone can just say or show with an image where to access Tools > Motion Tracking that would do it.

Like SeanB839 I'm just trying to get to where this article is pointing to

Premiere does not offer Motion Tracking.

Unless you want to do it manually, After Effects is the way to go.

Or use this plugin:

the amount of time i have spent trying to find a simple answer to tracking a shape in Premiere is crazy, only to find out - adobes flagship video editor cant do it, and in fact there is no action bar, or tools, or motion tracking menu! maybe... thats why I cant find it. This is why people hate adobe now. I cant even get a straight answer to a simple question! none of this is directed at you Ann - I appreciate the straight answer.

Not sure what you mean ... do you mean the Menu bar? Work area bar? What?

Hello, Below is from a post.

How can I add motion tracking to my video?

Import your video clip to the timeline. Select the clip. In the action bar, select Tools > Motion Tracking. Click Select Object. A resizeable frame appears in the monitor. You can resize the frame by dragging on the corner circles.

Not sure what they mean by "Action Bar"
