Why is chat closed?

The adobe chat line has been closed since I checked yesterday,  near as I can tell it's most defiantly operating hours

It does make perfect sense.  Corporations the size of Adobe have flexible work schedules and workers in time zones all around the world.  "Normal Work Hours" has been redefined!

What are you talking about?  Its a customer service department,  they need to be available when they advertise so-as not to waste the customers time.

You're right.  I crossed the line into a "defend Adobe" zone.  As a user I should stay in the "complain about it" zone.
