I have adobe premier elements 14. I'm trying to add .mov file but I get the message error codec missing. The file opens up in quicktime and I can import it to imovie. I have other .mov files that import fine. How do I go about fixing this?

You've tagged onto discussion with a different subject. The short answer is the ".mov" is a container file that can have a variety of codecs. Your source is using a codec inside the .mov container that Premiere Elements does not recognize. Programs like Handbrake can convert most files to more common codecs.
