As stated in the title Prem Elements 2020 Help tab not functional "no response"; online help, getting started etc..... clicking on any of these items nothing happens. On top of that Prem 2020 does not recognize my video camera to capture; "no supported device detected". I have this software one day and am ready to send it back. Prem Elements 12 worked great (broke my rule; why upgrade?)

Any help on the help would be appreciated;

Probably need to upgrade the ieee 1394 firewire card ( tried both legacy and Win 10 drivers)

Windows 10 (v. 1909) 64b

Intel i7 4790K@4g

32g memory

Sony DCR VX2100

FireWire capture was eliminated after version 12, many years ago. So if that's a dealbreaker, you ought to contact your vendor and get a refund asap. But there are other means to capture over FireWire -- namely the free download WinDV and HDVSplit -- which create files that are 3editable in Premiere Elements 2020. In fact, you can even capture your video in version 12 and edit it in version 2020.

It depends on how much you value the features added in the past five or six years.

Thanks Steve that solves my problem. The reason I bought 2020 was that Elements 12 would not recognize my camera after switching to Win 10; but seems to be a Win 10 problem. I bought a new Firewire card and will go back to 12 to see if it can connect; (also have legacy firewire drivers) we'll see what happens.

Hope your "Help tab not functional.." issues are resolved.

This should not happen as these buttons simply directs to an online URL.
