Getting Audio disk I/O overloaded at <timestamp> in "Audio Prefetch" warnings

Participant ,

I've used the new Pr Beta 23.1 build 33 on the latest project I have and I am getting Audio disk I/O overloaded at <timestamp> in "Audio Prefetch" warnings a lot (maybe 10 times or so).

It seems that they show up when I'm working with dynamic link but I don't have enough data yet to say that with absolute certainty.

What does this mean? Is it a bug?

Having the same issue here. I see no one has been able to answer it or give a conclusive cause?

I stated getting them on a regular basis when I stared using Beta. It happend to me on all clips with or without audio. Even on one project with no audio. I end up manually saving every time I see it but I dont worry about it. I assume it is one of the regular bugs in a beta trial.

I was getting those too, with latest build, editing video with no audio. I ignored and it didn't bother anything.

Of course I forgot to add this bit of info: When I export the sound is perfectly fine, just cuts out during playback in the app.

I`m getting theese warnings as well, and my audio gets all messed up. Suddenly it gets distorted. I replace it, it sounds fine, then it happens again.

Same here. Most annoying. I've tried all (or at least many) of the pre-beta fixes - clearing audio cache, changing defaults, all the usual suspects. But like all of you I keep getting audio not found at 00 or audio overloaded, etc.

I also had (have?) an unusual glitch -- pulling the audio level line up in a timeline clip drove the audio playback down - and vice-versa. It's so odd that I figured I was doing something wrong -- but it's never done that one before.

Maybe somehow related to the new enhance audio feature?

I'd happily go back to the main PP release to finish my project, but of course you can't go back (without starting over again).

Adobe the other day steered any comments or concerns (or compliments) to this community forum. If you're listening - help!

Might it be related to the "enhanced audio" button?

Getting this error and performance issues on the latest beta build, too.

Disk I/O (Input/Output) performance refers to how quickly and efficiently data is read from or written to a storage device like a hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state drive (SSD). This is a crucial aspect that impacts a computer's overall performance, particularly when managing large data sets.

Key measures of disk I/O performance include:

  • Transfer Rate: This indicates the speed of data transfer between the storage device and computer memory, typically measured in bytes per second.

  • Latency: This measures the time taken for the storage device to respond to data requests, usually in milliseconds.

  • IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second): This quantifies the number of read/write operations a device can handle per second, useful for comparing different storage devices.

  • Throughput: This denotes the amount of data read or written within a specific time frame, measured in bytes per second.

So have you applied any presets in the Essential Sound panel? Is there sufficient disk space available? Have you attempted to clear the cache and reset your preferences?

Very frustrating, dealing with the same here! No presets in Essential Sounds, no effects applied, all files on a very quick SSD.

Preferences and cache have been reset, still happens. This is on the latest PPro Beta version.

It's possible that the Premiere Pro Beta version could be causing the freezing issue. To troubleshoot this, I recommend installing the latest stable version of Premiere Pro instead. Read This
