Community Expert ,
Feb 28, 2025 Feb 28, 2025

Updated thread title to B14 (Build 14) as a new Preference problem exists.

03/10/2025 - Update

There's a new problem with the <OK> button giving an error

See this post below: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-bugs/preferences-graphics-missing-font-replacement-...

Creating Preference from new the pref graphics/Default font replacement, will not select from the drop-down with a mouse click, and when clicking-in and typing the font name, will look like going to work, but doesn't stick.

Further, if you type partial, see your font selected and press enter, the prefs window closes. (and your font is not saved.

@MyerPj we believe this is fixed, you should see this in beta already. Thanks again!

Thanks @Annika Koenig, I thought there was something up @ Adobe, as I have been getting ME updates regularly, but no PP updates since 25.3 b3, I'll look into it here, must be something on my end. I'll check that setting asap. 🙂

@MyerPj,

Build 3 is still it. Logged out/in to desktop. Also, when there's an update, the Beta flags it when you open it.

@MyerPj @Stan Jones sorry, I should have mentioned the build which has the fix. It's in beta 25.3x8!

Hey @Stan Jones , did you mean 25.3 build 3 is still the current one?

I haven't got one past that yet.

Yes. And as of 4:30PM US eastern, still no new update. Longer than usual, but just waiting patiently. I update the Beta erratically anyway.

Ha, ha, jokes on me.... 🙂 I've spent some hours trying to fix something that's not broke. Oh, well, that's computing.

Cheers @Stan Jones thanks for letting me know. 🙂

OK, I finally got an update to 25.3.0 b13,

  • Yes, you can change it now, but I don't think its correct.
  • Find the one you want by clicking on the list, scrolling to the one you want and select it. (This works)
The <OK> button now is working like an <Apply> , I would like an <Apply> button, but this is not it.
  • After an <OK> when changing font you press <Cancel> and it sticks but gives an error message:

Hope this helps.

Hey @Annika Koenig , another thing.

I can't change it w/out a mouse. Usually on drop-downs a <spacebar> press will open it, so Tab to the drop-down and <spacebar> - does nothing, I must click it.

For normal operation, open the Media tab and and Tab over to any of the drop-downs and <spacebar> and they all open.

I see now, once I change the font any time I press <OK> I get an Event...

I see others are reporting it now also, this new problem was in build 13 and 14 so far.

Replace font does not solve the issue.

Of course not. The original problem was on this thread was that you couldn't change "Missing Font Replacement" on Graphics page. @Annika Koenig mentioned that in Build 8 that problem was fixed. It appears in the process of fixing that, this new problem with the <OK> button and the "invalid type conversion" error is now happening. The OK button used to save and close the prefs form.
