Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.1.0.38 doesn't allow Import, New Bin, New Item, etc. in Project Panel.

The options are greyed out, both in project panel (right click) and in File - New menu.

    You're not the only one. This Beta build is completely unusable. Premiere has a reputation for crashing a lot but I've never experienced the amount of crashing and errors as I have now. And I've been using Premiere for 15 years.

    These issues have been on both my Mac Studio and Macbook Pro - exactly identical so I know it's not my computer.

    The newest Beta is completely unsueable. It crashes relentlessly, especially when my playhead gets to a part of my timeline that has a red bar above it - then Premiere freezes and often times shuts down. If I try to render out my sequence, Premiere crashes and quits. When I try to import media, I get stuck on the "Importing Media" box and it doesn't go away - it's just stuck. I try to roll back to the previous version of Beta and it doesn't install properly on both my Mac Studio and Macbook Pro. Will there be an update to fix these glaring issues soon? Otherwise I'm stuck and can't work on my projects.

    @Lounger Build 041 is available now. It's actually now up to Pr24.1xBeta042 as of this afternoon.

    Thanks to everyone who dilligently reported this. The fix has been made and verified on Mac and Win using the latest Beta build --- Pr24.1xBeta041. Please upgrade to that build as soon as possible.

    Thank you folks for reporting this. We are working on a fix right now. In the meantime, there is a workaround to keep you going:
    Create something else New, like a Bars and Tone item. Select that and then access to the greyed out items as well as the Import commands will be restored.

    Today, October 2nd, version 24.1.0.40 came out, but the problem still persists!

    Same here. cant import into panel. its greyed out.  rtx 4070. Helpppp
