Text-based editing not working in Premiere Beta 24.4

I've used text-based editing the past few weeks and had no problem, but today immediately after the latest update, it stopped working. I can see the text but if I highlight it, it doesn't let me delete it.

    Premiere Pro (Beta) 24.4 build 37 should resolve these issues, thanks for your patience.

    How can I get to an older version where this works? Even though I uninstalled the latest update, text-based editing is still malfunctioning.

    This is already a known issue internally and it is currently being worked on by the development team.

        That's the one I'm using — Pr24.4xBeta035. And I'm on Mac OS Sonoma 14.3 (23D56)

          Thank you for reporting this here. Just to make sure we're looking at the same builds, can you tell us what builds number you're using and on which OS? The most recent Public Beta build is currently Pr24.4xBeta035.
