This effect requires GPU acceleration

*forgot to mention - i'm on an M3 pro

same issue on an iris transition!  i don't even see the option to switch renderers in the general settings or project settings.  I'm running beta 24.4

I think it is the dynamic link to AE. I rendered the clip from AE, imported the clip into my project, and now it works. Not using the dynamic link now.

Sorry, didn't finish. I hide the effect on the timeline and there's no issue, but then again I don't get the output I'd like obviously since I can't use the roto brush clip from AE.

I did a roto brush from AE, layered in AP, nesting text in between so in the movement on of AE segment it reveals the text. Was working on Tuesday. I did have an Nvidia update on my card, and thought that was the problem, but tried it on my laptop which did not have an Nvidia update, and it still didn't work.

Now Thursday morning 1/18/24 and still not working.
