Trying to create a shape, but only getting a tiny dot

Premiere Pro Version 25.2.0 BETA (Build 115)

Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.2

When using the Rectangle, Ellipse or Polygon tool, the shape created is just a small dot.

I used to work fine. Now it doesn't. Please fix it.

@Johnny5E76,

You're on a now older version of the PR Beta.

Just FYI, as of this morning, the Beta version is 25.3.0 Build 25. Any fix would go into a version after this. And we don't actually know that it has not already been fixed.

I did not see this problem when doing some tests a few days ago.

I just checked and according to the Creativecloud app my PP is up to date, with Premiere Pro Version 25.2.0 BETA (Build 115).

Do you know of any reason why I am not being offered the more recent version you mention (25.3.0)?

That's not the current one. 25.3.0 b25 is the current beta.

That was a problem, fixed in a later beta.

BTW: I believe I discovered later, that the dot can be expanded to the shape you wanted. Really hard to see.

Yes, but it's the latest beta I'm being offered by Creative Cloud. Any idea why I'm not getting the latest one? Or when/how I might get it? Is it because I'm in the UK, maybe? I tried expanding the dot by increasing the scale but that didn't work. At the moment I'm having to go into old projects and find things I've used a shape on, and paste them onto the new project.

@Johnny5E76,

That is odd.

I would try logging out and back in to the Creative Cloud Desktop. Or reintalling it.

If no joy, ask here:

That's a strange one, getting only and older version (25.2) of the beta. Log out-reboot-log in, Uninstall / reinstall.

As a last resort, Run the Adobe Cleaner after you uninstall the program and before you re-install it:
Also, reboot your computer between steps even if you are not asked to...

LATEST

I've discovered CC wasn't seening the version of PP that's installed on my mac - even after repairing and then reinstalling CC. So I've just installed the latest one from CC and dragged the old app file into the bin. Might not be a perfect solution but it seems to work ok now.
