Beta (26.0) and Windows 10. I first noticed on Beta 25.5. The legacy transitions work fine but not the newer ones.

@Enchanted_Glimmer0496,

Thanks. I just tested with release 25.5.0 and Beta 26.0.0 Build 16 on Win 11. I applied a blur transition from the Film Impact transition without a problem.

Let's see what others are finding.

Same happening here after clicking apply with the Film Impact Dashboard. Notably a lot of effects are also not working when clicking apply. All of the blur expect compound blur are not applying and can not be seen under the effect controls.

Using Premiere Beta 26.0, fresh install and reset media cache/prefrences
Windows 11 25H2

Not trying to hijack this thread, but wanted to update as I am experiencing the same. Downgrading to 25.6 now shows the effects listed in the effect list, and I can apply them through the Film Impact dashboard as well as the transitions without crashing. On 26 these do not show up at all except on the dashboard.

@nctps,

Thanks for posting! Your post got me poking around, and this is what I discovered.

See my post here:

BTW, for you and @Enchanted_Glimmer0496 (and all of us who forget from time to time):

It is very important to report the actual Build number when commenting on Beta versions. I was on build 9 for a while, then briefly 16, and now 18. They are clearly making major changes in this area. I am not seeing any "not applying," but they may have fixed a bug.

Thank you for the information. This was my first time ever running into issues and posting to the community. Where would I find the actual build number?

@Enchanted_Glimmer0496,

Once open, Help -> About Premiere Pro.

Also, in the Beta version, in the upper right, there's an icon for feedback that gives the option to copy your system info (OS, PR build, and more).

See my description and screenshot here:

The MOST important part is what you did: took the time to post about the problem you encountered! The programmers do appreciate the feedback.

And BTW, I just saw this:

Having the same issues, any effect causes it to crash.  Happened on 25.6 so I updated to 26 and same thing.  Windows 11, project is pretty fresh, started an hour ago.  First day happening.

Can confirm still happening in Premiere Beta V26 build 024. Clicking apply on all effects from Film Impact dashboard do not work, and clicking apply on transitions cause an instant crash which now no longer brings up a report window. I watched a friend use Premiere Beta today on this version and he was able to add transitions without crashing. I am curious if it has something to do with video cards since he uses an NVIDIA and I'm on AMD?

Specs I'm on:
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
GPU AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT  | Latest drivers installed ver 25.10.2
RAM 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4
Windows 11 version 25H2
