I have the same problem. I am working on a new MacBook Pro. That could cause the problem but it is VERY frustrating after spending days watching tutorials and trying again and again.

I just downloaded the latest Beta to check and Transcriptions should work again. Can you please check your build number (About Premiere Pro). It should say 22.3.0 BETA (Build 49) or higher. If the Build number is lower than that - please update your Premiere Pro BETA version via the Creative Cloud Desktop tool. If you're already using that version (or a higher one), please let me know in this thread and we can do some further digging why transcriptions are not working for you.

        Greetings, Nico

It is getting worse. I just updated Premiere Pro Beta to build 56. If I now go to Window/ Text, there is no Text anymore......

On the very top I found something that seems to work. Screenshot 2022-02-14 at 10.40.35.png

Now up to the next steps.

Please let me know if Transcriptions work for you with this build. We will look into the string issue. Thanks for reporting this.

Thanks for letting us know. Since Beta builds update almost every day, can you go to About Premiere Pro and tell us what version and build number you are on?
The format looks like this:
