Hi all,
in the latest version of Premiere Pro (currently in Beta), we have the option to mask objects and track them.
When I started tracking, it used my CPU, instead of my GPU. Is it possible to have GPU acceleration enabled for this feature? It took 3 miuntes to track 10s of clip. In Davinci, with the same setup and GPU acceleration, it takes a few seconds. It would be a great addition.
Is that possible please?
Thank you
Best,
Max

More than enough space on M.2 SSDs
Yes, the CUDA acceleration is on. I even disabled Intel in decoding optipns and only left Nvidia on.

try to change one of your footage format, also check in sequence settings video previews and codecs,
this is still in Beta so issues are common to happen

Hi Carlos,
I understand this is in Beta. I was sent to this forum to provide feedback or wish for a feature. That is why I am asking, if the object mask tracking will have or does have GPU acceleration support. Because right now, it does not. And I did not change any of the default settings to anything which could cause it not to run it.
So, if this is already supported, great. I will wait for full version and if it does not work, open a ticket.
If this is not yet supported, then it is my feature proposal/wish.

Thank you Carlos. I will test it a little more during this week, combining it with different ways of starting the program, restarting computer and selecting various options in the Premiere.
I will keep you updated. However, any possible feedback from anyone with any experience on this would be very welcome.
Thank you
