Question

2.7k content and can only export in 1080p??

I have go pro content in a project and I can export only to 1080p or 720p. The "automatic" preset chooses 1080p. I would like to export supersampling to 4k (or even just keeping the original resolution)...better than losing resolution by exporting to 1080p...so what is the issue here? I even upgraded to premium thinking it was a limit of the free version but it is exactly the same.

Speaking of the Android version

I have been been paying for CC monthly for longer than I'd like to admit but I've noticed a similar problem. I just got the DjI FPV and the video is 4K. I spend 30 minutes making an awesome drone montage ONLY to find out I can't even export it in 4K, I have to downgrade to 1080. Or upgrade to a better version, which I have on a different account, but now there's now way to get the video I made and switch it and blah blah, the story continues. It's really pathetic and how the adobe employee answered your question was ridiculous and a disservice to paying customers. I just wanted to throw that out there because I'm highly discouraged about my edit I can't export in 4K. The export is the crappiest quality I've ever seen, thank god I kept the original. Good luck my friend....😔

Hi @JCashtro23,

I read your message. Can you give us a bit more info about your editing environment? For example, are you editing on a computer or a mobile device? Can you give us info on either of those, please? I hope I can help.

Thanks,.

Kevin

Hi @rogermorse,

Thanks for the message. Is it possible that the first clip you chose for the sequence is not a 4K clip? If you chose an HD clip as your first one, the whole sequence will be HD too, which might limit your options. Inspect the first clip and see if that's what might have happened.

Thanks,
Kevin

It's not, the clip is a single file exported from the go pro in original format (as shot) and is 2.7k. I then edited it in Rush by clipping and so (nothing major). I double checked and the gopro file is indeed 2.7k on the phone and as such was imported in Rush, no other clips otherwise. I also double checked the format. Rush does not have 4:3 (it does have 5:4) but nevertheless, I tried canceling eventual crops and playing with different formats (including 16:9) and crops, but the available options at the Rush export never exceeded the 1080p res...

I had no problem exporting the same 2.7k to 4k with Kinemaster. I know exporting 4k doesn't do anything more than exporting in 2.7k (which would have been fine already) but is surely better than 1080p.

That's a little weird. Can you try it in the desktop app and see if you get the same results? Which Rush subscription do you have?

Thanks,
Kevin
