Adobe Premiere Rush freezes and/or crashes on Windows 11

Hello everyone,

Adobe Premiere Rush freezes and/or crashes on Windows 11. I have never had problems on Windows 10. As soon as the program tries to load the video preview thumbnails, it's over. I've already tried clearing the cache and disabling hardware acceleration. I have also tried running Rush in Windows compatibility mode, no improvement either.

It's really great that I now have a new computer to be able to work more smoothly with the program, it's just stupid that the program no longer works. My employer loves it...

Best regards,
Dirk

Can we have more details about the specs of this new computer, @dirk83? Some of the brand new CPUs might not be supported.

Thanks,
Kevin

Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 165H 1.40 GHz working with on-board graphics, nothing special. Does that help? Btw. Adobe Premiere Pro works flawless but it is to complex for me to just put together some reels,. thanks.

Rush is not supported with these newer Ultra CPUs, as I understand it. Sorry about that. Premiere Pro is supported, but Rush and After Effects are not. I'm not sure when that would happen, @dirk83.

Thanks,
Kevin

@Kevin-Monahan : when will this be supported ? I encounter the same issues as @dirk83. (note: CPU is an Intel Ultra 7 155H). It's quite annoying because in evening school they use Rush for specific lessons since it is very accessible.

Hey there, Yves,

I hear you. Unfortunately, I don't have any answers for you right now. Adobe does not usually announce dates for new versions or hardware support ahead of time. I'm only a mod here for this user-to-user forum. Sorry about that.

Adobe does tend to announce roadmaps ahead for video products at the annual NAB conference (which is upcoming shortly), so I would look to then for what the team may have in mind for Rush users, especially now that the EDU community world-wide is heavily reliant on computers like these.

I can also point you to the posts I have been making as of late to try out Project Violet in the Apple App Store. Though it's a mobile app, at least you can take a look at some of the things Adobe has been up to. Try it out if you have an iPhone or iPad.

I apologize once more for a frustrating answer to your question. Other than what I've written here, that's all I've got. Thanks so much for asking.

Cheers,

Kevin
