Dissolve transition flickering after exporting video

Community Beginner ,

Hi. I've experienced this problem several times when using "dissolve" transition between video clips in a project. In the project window it looks fine. After exporting (I normally export to FB 1080 full HD), some of the dissolve transitions are flickering. I can only solve it by either:

-Adjusting where the video clips end (randomly) till it doesn't flicker after exporting

-Change the transition to "black" or others, the problem goes away

It seem to happen randomly, not with every "dissolve" transition or video clip, but i can't work out why/when it's going to happen.

Cheers,

MC

What's the computer or device and source footage you're using, @MCChang?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @Kevin-Monahan - I'm using a macbook Air, 8GB with M1 chip. The footage are from my iphone 15 Pro, in HEVC, 3840x2160, and 59.96 fps.

Thank you.

Screenshot 2024-09-23 at 1.29.19 PM.pngHey there, @MCChang,

I see. That footage and the RAM installed have piqued my interest. How long is the sequence? Have you added many effects?

One thing you might try is to enable pre-rendering your sequence in Settings. I hope the advice helps.

Thanks,
Kevin
