Hi,

I am trying to edit 4K 60fps videos using Premier Rush but the preview/playback is very choppy. Do you have any tips on how to solve this issue?

Thanks.

Migaux

neverletmigo, good evening.
You want to edit 4K / 60fps images using Rush. What is your current environment?
・ PC (Win, Mac) / Mobile (iOS, Android)
・ OS version
·CPU
·memory
・ Storage capacity

* Since 4K images process a considerable amount of data, it is recommended to use high-speed storage.

If you are using the mobile version, this post from Premiere Rush User Group Japan on facebook may be helpful.

Hi.

Thank you for answering. I am indeed using Premier Rush.

I have a Windows 10 PC with AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor and 8 GB RAM.

I know that the problem is within the Premier Rush as I can play 4K 60fps videos using other softwares perfectly.

Thanks,

Migaux

neverletmigo, Hello.
It seems that the specifications are not enough to handle 4K video in the PC environment currently in use.
It is necessary to consider adding more memory etc.
Please see the system configuration of Premiere Pro for reference.
When handling 4K video, higher specifications are required.
I think you should refer to the recommended environment.

Hi Migaux!

We appreciate you writing in. I see that you're getting a playback issue in Premiere Rush. Could you share more info with us?

You could try these steps and see if it works:

  1. Go to View > enable Use Optimized Clips.
  2. Go to Sequence > Prepare for Playback.

I hope your project is synced to the Creative Cloud. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-rush/help/project-syncing-premiere-rush.html

Also, your system is having an 8GB RAM, which is a minimum for Premiere Rush. For more info, you can refer to Rush system requirements.

Let us know, happy to help.

Thank you,

Kartika

Dear Kartika,

My Premier Rush version is 1.5.2 (Build 536).

I also tried your recommendation and it works well. I can now play 4K 60fps video on the application. However, I still have yet to try if it would cause some bugs during video editing.

Thank you very much,

Migaux
