Anyone who has upgraded to an iPhone 16 pro max having issues with putting videos in Adobe Rush? I'm constantly getting an error message? If I film a video outside of the app and try to import it.

Hey @DramaticParrot,

If you film outside the app, you might be using a format that Rush can't handle. For example, it won't work well with HDR or Cinematic mode footage. You could also try adjusting settings on the phone's camera app. Sorry about that.

Thanks,

Kevin

Same issue for me. Here's what I did...I turned off my Spatial Audio and suddenly the errors disappeared.
Go to settings/camera and tap on Record Sound and switch from Spatial Audio to Stereo and your problem should resolve. I've been successful with 2k and 4K, even at 60 fps.

Wow, seriously, @BlackAndBlue? I'll have to check that out. That's a sweet tip. Thank you! Can you upload a test file with spatial audio switched off to check it out and share it with the team? That would be great.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi @Kevin-Monahan

I've uploaded 4 - 6 second files. The primary settings I used can be seen in each of their respective clips. I did an import test to Rush and (again) the stereo clips had no problems. Let me know if you'd like to know any of the other settings.
Happy to help, and please let me know if my test is missing any important components.
Cheers.

Awesome! Thank you for the test files. The stereo clips were imported, while the spatial audio clips were not. Premiere Pro sees the clips as Rec. 709 H.264 files, though. Did you switch off HDR for the test? Let me know! You really are helping the community organize a workable workflow. Thank you so much. Take care.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
All of the provided clips have HDR enabled. That said: Yes, the 2 clips that were imported correctly absolutely had HDR enabled. For easy reference, you can see this in the video content of the sample clips provided.

As part of my test, each time I changed my settings, I backed out of the settings app, then killed & restarted the camera app before recording the test footage. Honestly, I don't think this made any difference...It was just a poor man's attempt to give the camera every opportunity to take the new settings. To be completely transparent, I did not verify (via an outside editor/viewer) that the displayed settings actually took effect. A little bit of trust that the device was doing what it said it was.

Let me know if you need anything else.
Always happy to help.  8^)
Cheers-

Thanks for the note. I'll have to download MediaInfo and take a closer look at those clips. Premiere Pro sees them as 709 not HDR. How weird. I hope that others are finding more success by switching off Spatial Audio. Thanks again for the find.

Cheers,
Kevin
