Loading Premier Rush for Mac is stuck on ImporterQuickTime.bundle

I've been trying to launch Premier Rush for Mac but it is stuck on ImporterQuickTime.bundle and won't launch.

I'm using a new new MacBook Pro,  Apple M1 Pro,  running Ventura 13.3.1.

 

Very frustrating! What can I do?

Can you try with a new User Account? You can also see if Adobe Folder Permissions need resetting here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html

But I still need help!!

 

I have spend hours searching Adobe forums for solutions but am yet to find one that has worked.

I recently tried a method that worked for others with the problem but NOT for me! See below...

Uninstall DropBox
Deactivate iCloud Drive
Reboot.
Upon login - Opened Terminal (Applications ➞ Utilities ➞ Terminal)
Copy/paste at prompt: diskutil resetUserPermissions / `id -u`
Let it complete.
Go to Home (your user folder)
Changed Sharing & Permissions for Documents and Desktop folders (click on folder, command/control i ➞ "Sharing & Permissions" ➞ Click on lock and enter your password ➞ click on your username ➞ click on gear ➞ "Apply to enclosed folder")
Reboot.
Opened up Premiere...

Just to reiterate. This did not work!! I still get the loading error stopping on "ImporterQuickTime.bundle"

I don't understand how adding a new user account is supposed to work.   I added a new user account and, yes, Adobe Premiere Rush works on that account, but am I expected to go back and forth between accounts all the time just to use Rush?  Very inconvenient so I don't get it.  Also, I don't see any of the projects I created in the old user acount while working on my old computer.  I didn't have any trouble until I got a new computer (went from microsoft to mac) and tried to load Rush so I could continue working on my projects.

I have the same issue. My partner got a new M3 Mac and now this. There is no way she's going to switch accounts given all her media is on the other account.

Hey @kellys1628913,

You're right. It isn't very convenient having to edit in another account. One approach you can take is try to "repair" your original account. While I don't have any instructions handy, I am fairly certain apple support can walk you through that. Can you give their support or "Genius Bar" a try'?

 

Since sync was removed from Creative Cloud last February, you cannot move proejcts across devices anymore. That is why you won't see your old projects on a new computer. Sorry about that.
