Media Import Error

New Here ,
Mar 28, 2024 Mar 28, 2024

Has anyone ever encountered the "media import error, unsupported media type" error when importing to rush? I'm using the app on iPhone 12. All my clips were flimed on a GoPro and are HEVC. Some of the clips import perfectly fine but a bunch of others trigger this error message. Anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

I use Media Encoder, but if you don't have that, check out freeware, Shutter Encoder.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi @Ted36328345hiq7,

Thanks for the note. Some flavors of HEVC are not supported, like 10-bit 4:2:2 4K. Could that be the issue? Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Is there any conversion software you recommend to convert the videos to a rush compatible format? Thanks
