Since recent Android update, Rush only showing black screen when I import a video. Audio fine. Anyone else?

Black screen issue is fixed after I updated the app with new version 2.11.0.14.

Thanks, Kevin! I turned off all HDR settings on the clips before importing them into Rush, and it worked. I’m relieved this solved the issue, but it would be great to see Rush upgraded to support HDR and other settings seamlessly. Thanks again, Kevin!

Thanks so much for the note. I apologize for our staff not warning you about that. I will let them know to remedy that issue moving forward.

 

Create a backup for your project. I am unsure about how to do so in the mobile environment. The proven method is to move the project to Premiere Pro for export or backup purposes.

 

Do this by:

  1. Moving the project to a desktop or laptop computer
  2. Import the Rush file to Premiere Pro (or a trial version of that app).
  3. Save the Premiere Pro project.
  4. Export the sequence, if needed.


With your media and a Premiere Pro project file, you can always restore the project from Premiere Pro for export. I can help you with that.

  • Same issue.
  • Same phone and video I always use so the issue is the file.  It's the same with any clip or photo I import.  And also is now happening with all the other projects already in the app that I've been using.

Ich habe seit kurzem das Problem, das in Premiere Rush auf Samsung Galaxy S24 keine Fotos / Videos mehr angezeigt werden. Das betrifft sowohl vorhandene als auch die Neuerstellung von Projekten. Im Fenster "Projektelemente" sind die Bilder zu sehen. 

Die App ist zuvor rund 1 Jahr problemlos gelaufen, ein Telefonupdate hat nicht stattgefunden bzw. ist erst nach Auftreten des Fehlers durchgeführt worden. Löschen vom Cache, De- und Neuinstallation haben ebenfalls keine Veränderung bewirkt.

All my existing projects and all new projects are suddenly only showing black video.  Sound works fine.

 

Using samsung s24 ultra.

 

Doesn't matter if it's a clip or picture.  Nothing.

 

Have cleared the cache, then cleared the data, then unistalled and reinstalled.

 

Ended up losing many hours of editing existing projects, very frustrating!

I've been trying to create new videos but every time I upload clips from my phone the clips appear blank. I can still hear the sound of the video, but there's no visual so I can't see them to edit. I've tried restarting my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling rush and making sure it's updated. Neither of these has fixed the issue. Basically I can't edit any videos in rush. Not really sure how to fix this.

I'm using a Sansumg Galaxy S21 Ultra to film and edit, and filming in uhd 60. This issue only started a few days ago. I've been able to edit videos in rush with this phone in those settings for years until now.

Can you confirm the version you are having no improvement with? It is possible you still have the problematic version installed. The Playstore confirms the update's 100% rollout, so please try updating once more if you are still having the issue.

I used to use Adobe Rush to edit videos to post to social media but now Rush will not allow me to upload videos.  It will go through the process of uploading but the videos and pictures are not visible in the editor. Any help?

Nothing works. Reinstall is a failure too. Imported Videos are black screens and the video only plays for 4 seconds before the app crashes.

Hi. I use the paid version of Adobe Rush on my phone. After the last android update (few days back) i can't see the picture - just black screen. The sound is heard. Does anyone have a similar problem? How to solve it. Will a patch be released? Martin

Hi, Same issue..the clips import just fine into the new project timeline,
but I could not see, or play, any of the clips in the preview monitor. Just
a black space there. I also could not rename the new project or change text
in an added graphic...it wouldn't let me type anything. I was able to add
transitions and a soundtrack. But, I couldn't see the transitions either
until I successfully exported the timeline. It exported fine as
sequence01.mp4.Thanks for the reply, and help.

Adobe Rush on Android all projects now have a phone I on by their project name.  All images and graphics are blacked out - approx a year of work.  New projects are the same.  Seemingly no -one to help.  So disappointed - can it possibly foxed? The work reappear?
