I'm not sure if it was the newest update, or one before this newest one. but I'm no longer able to render any videos successfully. even if I make no changes and just try and export. I used to be able to render 5 minute videos in just a few minutes. now it takes hours to get to 30 some percent and then get stuck. I'm using a Google pixel running the newest Android

Hi @daavoh,
Sorry for the delay in replying. I believe your issue is that HDR footage isn't supported. Can you try shooting in a standard color space using H.264? Let us know if that works better. I hope the info helps.
Thanks,
Kevin

For some reason the mobile version of the app will not move past 1% when rendering videos on my Google Pixel 7 Pro.
I'm using video recorded on my Pixel 7 Pro, in portrait mode.

When will there be an update on the app? I have a Pixel 8 pro newest update both on the phone and on the app and I am still experiencing frequent crashes. So much so it makes me not want to edit. I wasn't even on the app, I came to leave feedback and the crash window still pops up!

Hey Andy,
Could you provide more information about your system (or device) and media? I hope the community can help you with more details. I would check the media settings. If you are shooting with a new phone and higher quality video, try shooting H.264 instead (called "most compatible" mode in iPhone settings). Newer 10-bit HEVC files might not work. Using 8-bit media can often help. Sorry for the issue.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'm having this same issue. No problems in the past but then all of a sudden in mid-late June it just won't render anything. I thought maybe my video was too big for my phone but now I just went and tried it with a simple 5 min video with plenty of storage room and same result. Never gets past 0-1% and stays there for hours. I'm using a google pixel (android). No idea what's going on. No error message or anything it just doesn't render or go past the 0-1% mark now.

Same exact issues. Using Google Pixel (Android) as well. Updated my phone, still no change. Can never render past 4%. About to quit Adobe altogether!!

I'm having exactly the same issue! I have a Google pixel 6a, everything up to date, using h.264 footage, but it still freezes at 0 or 1%

Hey guys,
I've tried to export my project on Adobe Rush multiple times on my Samsung S23 FE, but it keeps on crashing and it gives me the error "Some error occured, please open project again...".
Any help will be very much appreciated!

Hi @ed1t0r,
Thanks for writing in. I think your device might be too new for Rush or is shooting footage that the app cannot process. May we have more information about your media? Run it through Media Info (freeware) in tree-view to see the details of the media type. I hope the community can assist you. Sorry for the hassle.
Take Care,
Kevin

Hi,
First of all thanks for the answer. The video clips I've used in my project use the format MPEG-4.

Hi,
Is the footage HDR? Is it an odd frame rate? Is it 4K or 8K?
Thanks,
Kevin

The footage is SDR, the framerate is exactly 30 FPS and the footage is 960x720, so 4:3.

Might have something to do with that odd frame size. Can you try standard HD or 4K?

Hi Ingrid,
Rush is not officially supported on your phone. I'm not sure what the issue could be. Possibly, you are working on footage that Rush was not designed to support. If you are editing 8K or HDR footage, try shooting ordinary H.264 at HD or 4K, and you should be able to export it then. Please try it and report back.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'm on a Pixel 7, Android 14, last updated 8/1/24.
Tried recently to render a 30 second video with 2 clips shot on my phone, MP4 at 1080x1920. Comp plays fine from the timeline including imported audio (I ended up capturing the full comp via the Android Screen Record feature which plays fine). When I try to export/render using any format/resolution, Rush hangs -- the furthest I've reached is 35%. Between these glitches and the hours of lost work on Fresco, I'm not getting positive returns on Adobe CC.

Hello @x-e.ro and others on the thread,
I heard back from the team, and they are working on fixing this issue. Sorry for the frustration.
Thanks,
Kevin

That's good to hear, thanks for taking this seriously. Is there a time-frame? Though I can't help wondering how it is possible that no Android phones have been added to the list of compatible phones since a couple of years back. Not that I think that's the actual problem (if anyone still has a "supported" Pixel 4 I suspect they'd have the same issues) but it indicates a severe neglect of Android users when it comes to this application. If no one cares to test the software on new phone models it really should come as no surprise that it suddenly doesn't work anymore. While this is being fixed there should be a disclaimer informing users that the films might not render, I think enough users have spent hours working on projects only to realize they can't export them.

These are important questions, but I'm sorry, I am in support and cannot respond to questions related to the product's development. I hope the team might react here but this is mainly a user-to-user forum.
Take Care,
Kevin
