Premiere Rush HEVC Codec

New Here ,
Nov 22, 2024 Nov 22, 2024

Hi @defaultzqh4ofkyk4ix,

The free app won't work that way with HEVC. Please subscribe via adobe.com. I hope the advice helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi! I have a paid subscription with Adobe, a plan which includes Premiere Rush, but I still get an error when I try to save the video and I am asked to install HEVC codec. I have uesd JPG files and MP4 files in the video, so I don't understand the need for this codec either. What do I do?

Thank you!

Torunn.

I have made videos many times with Rush. Same kinds of files , but I have never had this problem before. I don't understand why this suddenly happened.

When you say subscribe via adobe.com, what exactly do you mean?  I have this issue (see https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-rush-discussions/premiere-rush-codec-and-crashes/m-p/1548695... ) and I'm already a subscriber. It works fine on my laptop (win 11), but give the codec error on my PC (win 11).   So the only difference will be the graphics card/processer etc.

How to resolve this issue?

Hi! I means exactly that I have a paid subscription with Adobe, a plan which includes

Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Rush, Adobe Lightroom Classic and Bridge desktop versions, plus many online programs and some on the mobile phone, plus 1TB of storage.

But I just got an email from Adobe which says: "We’re writing to let you know that Premiere Rush will be discontinued on 30 September 2026." And they also say: "Premiere Rush will no longer be available for download from Adobe.com or mobile app stores starting September 30, 2025. After that date, customers can continue to use Premiere Rush on devices where it is already installed until the app is retired on September 30, 2026. It will be replaced by Premiere on iPhone and Premiere Pro on desktop. An Android version is also in development."

So I give it up now and will probably install Premiere Pro or use the old CD program Premiere Elements from 2020, which I have.

Must have missed that email. And yes I have a paid subscription with Adobe that includes rush. Wondered if there was some box or something that needed ticked.  I can't even see a way to export the project that I made from my PC to laptop as I can export on my laptop 😞
