What's wrong - the Premiere Rush software installed on my PC with W10 OS does not accept my MOV video files...(the mp4's are ok, but not MOV...

I have asked Adobe support twice re this, but their answer/help still has not reached me...

Hi CanalogSE,

Sorry about that. I have some .mov files I shot on my iPhone. They are 4K HEVC. They import fine. What is the codec inside the .mov wrapper? Is it H.264 or HEVC? Something else? You can inspect that stuff by running it through MediaInfo, which is share/freeware you can download. https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

Give us details so we can troubleshoot from there.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin!

Ok...here is the info I hope you need...enclosed is a jpeg file, a screen shot from my PC computer, after having installed the recommended info software, and thus examined one of the .mov files in question.

Alright?

Regards

B. Norhager/Sweden

Dear Mr. Norhager,

Thank you so much for the screenshot. Appreciated! Yes, this is HEVC and it looks as though WIN 11 needs to have that codec expressly installed in order to work in Premiere Pro. I got some info here. Hope it helps you. Report back with the results for the good of the community, if you have time. Thanks in advance!

Respectfully Yours,
Kevin
