Question

so RUSH CC replaces SPARK VIDEO?

Just curious what happens with Spark Video now that Rush CC exists.

Guessing maybe it's a "more than Spark, but less than premiere" thing?

Thanks

Raph

According to the Rush product team, Rush and Clip are built completely differently with a from-the-ground-up build for Rush; so far, they have no intentions to pull Clip, as they know they still need a tool for Android (until they get around to the Rush build for Android).

Spark Video has a completely different audience and skill level; I don't see the three competing with each other at this point.

Hope this helps! Make sure to press "✔ Correct Answer" on this post if this answers your question. Happy Creating!Anissa • @anissat

anissa_thompson Thanks for taking the time to reply! That did help as it wasn't really a CLIP issue. It seems like Rush CC is trying to offer a bit more control of layouts and motion graphics use, for those that don't necessarily need to have the power and capability of Premiere Pro  (and/or After Effects).  New(ish) work's LMS has a native editor that doesn't allow you to do any interactive beyond ,mp3 and .mp4 (users can click a play/stop button... or scrub the playback... oooh..)  So I've been having to figure out if I can use this work subscription to Adobe CC for storytelling videos vs. a separate, expensive one for Vyond.com.

hmm. spark video isn't really close to what Rush is (nor is Rush close to what Spark Video can do).

You might be asking if Premiere Rush is going to replace Premiere Clip.  Those are more similar, but they still have some significant differences.

and. uh. yeah. there wasn't a decision before DEVLEARN. hope you had fun anyway.

Yeah. Sorry if the above came out snarky.. (Probably was in the middle of trying to figure out if I needed to learn Premiere Pro & After Effects, or if Spark would work, and then POOF! Something totally different and new to consider!)  It wasn't really a "does this replace CLIP?" question because I had thought CLIP was used more for capturing video and maybe some trimming.  It seems like Rush CC is meant to be a sweet spot-halfway point between Spark (ease of use) and Premiere / After Effects (paradox of Choice).

Yeah - pretty much. Rush CC is the better version (imo) of what Clip was trying to be.  onward and upward.

Keep learning PremierePro & After Effects tho.  You're gonna rock those for the details that Rush doesn't offer yet.
