I've noticed if I create a project and use the stock audio (soundtracks, sound effects, loops, etc.) if I close the project and go back to it later, audio track is showing in red in my project timeline and the actual audio is missing / unlinked. This happens frequently and is quite frustrating. Any fix to this? Or just a glitch?
Hi there!
Sorry to hear that. Which device are you using? Is your project synced to Creative Cloud? https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-rush/help/project-syncing-premiere-rush.html
Let us know.
Thanks,
Kartika

Thanks for asking.
This has indeed appeared on more than one Mac. But I don't use Dropbox, Google Drive nor iCloud. These are projects using audio files and video files which exist on the hard drive of the Macbook Pro(s), Intel and M3 where the Rush is installed. Usually the strock music bundled with the app itself. As I noted earlier, no hard drives or external files are involved at all and the problem was there on an older map and thorugh several updates to Rush over the last few years, alas.

OK. That is odd, then, @jr61800167. I will have to see if I can reproduce this on my MacBook Pro M1 here at work. I'll let the team know and will also crank on some test projects. I'll let you know if I can reproduce the bug. I hope the community will chime in, as well. Thanks for letting me know and sorry for the pain points.
Cheers,
Kevin

Really glad to find this thread. We are experiencing the same issue in our classroom where students are creating videos. They add the audio from the stock collection but by the time the class next meets, the audio shows a flat line and has no sound. We are using M3 macs, new models. This shouldn't be an issue.
Thanks for your help. ~Rob

Just to say I met the problem again this week. It's been so many months without any solution that I'll just have to accept that I will need to rebuild the stock music every time I reopen the project. (Or is this a subtle advert for the full Premier?) I don't use Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud. I do sometimes move from one wifi network to another though. Might that be an issue?

I have the same issue now. A whole day edit has now been reduced to nothing as when I opened the project this morning the Audio file is flat lined. It's green, but no waveform and mute. I cannot just recreate as it is heavily cut up. Apple M1 Mac Pro laptop running Sequioa 15. This is a massive issue, we depend on Rush and this will potentially be a show stopper for us as a whole day's work is wiped out. I have restarted Rush, restarted the Mac, cleared the cache and done everything within my power but it's like the audio file has been disconnected and muted somehow. And I have check all audio settings within Rush and all is fine, we need this fixed and I need help!

Yes, a couple of years of asking (and for me, a couple of different Macs) and the problem remains. Either do it all in one session or risk losing your audio. Surprised no one in Adobe Rush land have though this would be worth a fix. So sorry to hear Andy 7224's latest story. Is the advice just not to use the provided audio library, anyone?
