Hi,

I only have 4 active timeline tracks in my Premiere Rush (Desktop).
There are 3 more tracks that dimmed and I cannot use them.
1- How can I add new media on new tracks?
2- Is there a maximum number of timeline tracks in Rush?

Thanks

Correct answer Myra Ferguson

I only have 3 tracks with text graphics and one track with video.

Yet the other 3 are dimmed.

Video clips, titles, transition graphics, and overlays all go on video tracks as they are what you see on the video. The remaining 3 tracks are for audio only. So yes, all 4 of the video tracks are currently being used.

Premiere Rush lets you have a maximum of 7 tracks (4 video and 3 audio):

If you need more tracks you could open your project in Premiere Pro and add more tracks there:

Or for a workaround, you could try rendering your Premiere Rush content, adding that clip to a new project, and then adding more tracks in that new project.

If you're adding audio to the remaining 3 tracks, then that should work.

If you're trying to add video, then you've already used up the 4 available tracks. In that case, you can try either of the suggestions that I mentioned.
