In its purest form, we're talking about apps like Firefly, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and numerous others, where images are created using text prompts. On a more subtle basis, we're talking about some of Photoshop's Neural Filters for example, where AI is used to enlarge or enhance images in one way or another.

Does that include using (not to sound dumb) the "enhance" button for noise
removal or to be able to enlarge an image with better quality? Or erase a
part of an image?

No, as long as you do not use the generative fill option from Photoshop (beta), you are good. Even content aware fill is not considered to be generative AI.

On a more subtle basis, we're talking about some of Photoshop's Neural Filters for example, where AI is used to enlarge or enhance images in one way or another.

That may count for using AI, but not generative AI.
