Gob smacked by Adobe and their classification of quality issues

It's not often that I am left speechless by Adobe but they have really hit the nail on the head with this.

I have submitted some photos for Adobe Stock and they have either been rejected due to "Quality Issues" namely File ID: 1196706180 and File ID: 1196835355 or "Intellectual Property Refusal" namely File ID: 1196835074 or File ID: 1209400354.

Regarding the Quality issues - It is in sharp focus, it is color corrected using Adobe Lightroom and it is in 8300 by 5864 so it is not small. Where is the problem.

Then there is the Intellectual Property Refusal refusal of a skyline. It has been refused because its at night and its of Los Angeles. Yet I have just been on Adobe Stock and found an image for sale (not as clear quality) e.g Los Angeles night skyline in LA, California, USA Stock Photo | Adobe Stock

Please help me understand because I cannot get my head around Adobe's 'quality control'

Thank you

Duncan

Of course night shots do not need to be underexposed. That is the difficulty of night shots. None of my night shots are underexposed.

I zoomed in at 100%, which is the design size. One pixel on screen is one pixel in the picture. The Bank of America and the CTBC Bank are really good to read. And that is exactly what IP rejections are. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/reasons-for-content-rejection.html

And btw, don't discuss with me over the rules. I did not make them, I'm only showing you where to look.

If you look at your asset, you will find more IP violations than I have shown. Adobe moderators will decline your asset on the grounds of IP violations if they detect one single little logo. If they do not detect that, they will decline your asset on quality issues, because the quality of what you have shown here is really bad.

I don't say that because I'm mean or I want to discourage you. But I say that to help you to identify the flaws in an asset. If you want to go into night photography, take a photography course on that topic. Night photography is a great topic and produces wonderful pictures if well done.

As you insist, I have licensed the asset you pointed out:

Both sceenshots are at 100%, yours at a higher resolution, the one your pointed out did get shot with a Canon 6D (Mark I). I took the same crop, and you see that the other picture did have "Bank of America" edited out.

IMHO, the other picture also needs some tweaking, I would not have been happy with that image, if I would have needed it for work. It's also underexposed and it's missing contrast. But it does not exhibit your quality issues. So I could eventually have it modified so that it's more or less correct.

They don't look sharp to me. But maybe you didn't upload in full resolution.
