hi  first attempt at stock photography. ive no qualifications in photography. im just learning as i go along. so please be nice and tell me were i went wrong with this photo.  thanks dickydonk

The light is uneven - and it’s like the clock is filled with water or something ...?

Need all objects to be sharp, sharp, sharp. Try different lighting - in a lightbox. I am not sure the watch is old enough to go with the keys. Do you have a good closeup lens? Not sure this one can be sharpened evenly so might need a new shot.

what was the reason for the refusal of Adobe selectors?

Generally speaking, although it's an old watch you have photographed, it shouldn't be so worn, rusty and scratched for a commercially usable photo here at Adobe Stock. I think if you take such pictures, make sure that the object is in perfect condition, this and the background is free of dust grains or something like that. The watch hands and the dial should also be clearly visible.
