How many active assets do contributors have?

How many active assets do contributors have? Is it normal to submit 20-40 assets from the same photo set? Is it considered spam? Recently, I started posting more content on my page, and I’ve already had 1,500 AI-generated photos accepted in just one month. Now, I have a total of 3,516 approved assets, with another 413 currently under review. I don’t have many downloads yet, even though I believe my images are of decent quality, as there aren’t many similar photos available. However, I’m worried about the future and unsure how to avoid the risk of getting my account suddenly shut down after putting in so much effort to grow my portfolio. Should I be scared or concerned about this?

Can I continue submitting assets without worrying about facing the same issues as other contributors? Or should I submit fewer assets? Generally, I upload a maximum of 20 images in the 2:3 aspect ratio and another 20 in the 3:2 aspect ratio, totaling 40 images from the same set (generated using the same prompt). I aim to grow my channel to at least 10k assets, and then I’ll assess the situation based on how sales are going. Is it possible for me to reach 10k AI assets?

Most have a quite large portfolio, with over 100 pages of AI assets, while I’ve only reached 36 pages of AI assets. Can I continue doing the same work as before? Currently, I have an acceptance rate of over 55%, which has increased over time I’m not sure exactly what my acceptance rate is, but I’ll probably achieve 90% when I have at least 10,000 accepted photos and as few rejections as possible

The limit on similar images is THREE (3), not 4. Read more about it here:

Similar content versus spam for Adobe Stock Contributors
Many, many Contributors have come here to the forum lamenting the fact that their accounts have been blocked after uploading tens of thousands of images and having spent so much time loading up their portfolio with similar images. It happens, and the threat of it happening to you is real. You should start cleaning up your portfolio and limiting future uploads to three

Yes you can delete them. If they're still under review, click on the image and look on the far right bottom corner of the screen where you'll find the word "delete". If they've already been accepted, you can go to your dashboard page, click on the image and another panel opens up below the image allowing you to delete from there.

They won't give you advance knowledge of that. They will ban you, and then you will need to contact them, and then eventually, they will give you a chance to cure your account.

There is at least anecdotal evidence suggesting that submitting an excessive number of AI assets within a small amount of time will get accounts suspended. Submitting a large number of assets similar to one another, along with poorly edited assets, may be the root cause, but we don't know for sure. Images that are similar to each other should be limited to three. Just speculation on my part, but since assets are reviewed by different moderators over a given period of time, they may be unaware of the number of similar images are being submitted until notice is finally taken.

I’m not the only one uploading many similar images. I’ve seen plenty of contributors who have 20-30 nearly identical images. They’re not exactly the same, but they belong to the same prompt. With just 2-3 images, you wouldn’t even have a chance to appear with a single image on the first page, so no one would ever find you.

It's not a duplicate post, I responded with the same message because there are two different people, and I can't respond to just one person for both.

You can: @Jill_C and @daniellei4510 will read this, as I have tagged them. But posing the same message (in the same thread, or in a different threat) is spamming, and that makes it awfully difficult to follow the thread.

You will not the only one who will get banned. Three variations of each set are tolerated according to the rules. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/similar-vs-spamming.html

So not working according to the rules will make you more sales, but you would dislike getting banned? Stop spamming. I see many contributors that got banned and are complaining afterwards.

That's impossible to answer. At this point, it's even possible that we're discussing an issue that isn't even an issue, if what you consider as similar images are in fact not similar images at all. Without specific examples, it's conceivable we've been talking to the wind and listening to echos.

No, that option has been available since the very beginning, at least since I started to contribute, and that was long before the arrival of generative AI.

What I would do with your fox and owl pictures:

  • generate variations of the fox, decide on which ones to correct and correct 3 of them so that they are flawless. Make sure that there are variations, like different angles. Do the same with the owl.
  • generate variations of the background, decide on which ones to correct. Combine the foregrounds with the backgrounds and submit them.

I did not check all of your assets posted here, but I noticed that some have (quite obvious) errors. It's better to make sure you have flawless assets than to have many assets. The problem with most generative AI contributors is that they do not check for and fix the errors before submitting. Generative AI rarely works flawlessly. Depending on the use, you may tolerate the errors, but not for stock.

And even if they get accepted, that does not mean that the buyer will be happy with flaws in the asset. They will complain, and the asset will be deleted. If you have countless erroneous assets, Adobe may decide to cancel your account.

Read the instructions in my link:

As a general rule, don’t submit more than three significant versions of a single motif, unless the complexity of the image calls for more. We’ve found that having a small number of versions can help contributors achieve commercial success.

And yes, you could be banned for past actions if you do not correct them now.

Spamming the database with too many similars is one of the frequently cited reasons for accounts being suspended. Submitting 40 from the same prompt definitely meets the definition of too many similars. Read Adobe's guidance on this subject in the help pages. There now ~177 million AI assets in the database which is a lot of competition, and that is probably why you haven't achieved a lot of sales. Search in the Buyer portal for some of your images using the keywords on your assets and you'll see what your competition is. If your assets don't appear in the first few pages of search results, buyers will never see them.

My highest selling images, which have sold hundreds of times, are unique in my portfolio - I have uploaded no other similars. Accurate and thorough titles and keywords is what gets your assets high in the search results, not uploading 40 similars. Nevertheless, too many similar is a violation of the guidelines and very much increases your chances of getting your account blocked. I assume that Adobe will eventually develop an AI tool to find and eliminate such similars because they're clogging the database and making the job of finding unique content much harder for the Buyers.

Each image can be unique because AI creates a unique image every time. Sometimes the dog may wear glasses, sometimes not. Sometimes it may wear a hat, other times it could be dressed in a skirt. The dog constantly changes, so what’s the issue? Maybe someone wants to buy the image with the hat, another person with glasses, and someone else with the dog dressed in a skirt. It’s quite difficult not to create multiple similar images because all of them are visually pleasing and have the potential to be downloaded.
