Important question about end of Windows 10

Good afternoon, I have a doubt about the end of Windows 10.

The Windows 10 support will end on October 14, 2025, I wonder if I will can continue sending files by FTP to Adobe after the end of the support, or if I will can continue to send for a while and later this time I will not can to send files. it is an important doubt that I want to clarify, thanks.

I'm not sure anyone here in the forum can predict how the end of support for Windows 10 will affect this process. Ending support doesn't mean that the software will no longer be functional . It just means that MS will stop applying bug fixes and issuing updates.

Of course, I will endure with Windows 10 until a little before October 14 and then update Windows 11 that still has support.

As of now, FileZilla — the client recommended by Adobe — still works even on Windows 7 x86 and Windows 8.1 x86, i.e., systems that lost official support back in 2014.
Meanwhile, Windows 10 has an LTS version supported until 2027. So, following this logic, your question might become relevant and reasonable sometime around 2037 — if by that time this forum, FTP, Adobe, stocks at all, and all of us still exist.

As for October 14, 2025 — there’s a 99% chance that absolutely nothing will change. (Well, unless Adobe’s IT team suddenly decides to fix something on the FTP exactly on that day, and everything will crushes down.)

The carrot on a stick keeps moving. If you're an Adobe product user, you may start to experience compatibility issues with software updates.  Creative Cloud doesn't support End of Life operating systems. And the ones they do support are no more than 2 versions back. 

As of today, most Creative Cloud apps work on these systems. But that may be changing soon when Apple releases Tahoe and Win10 reaches End of Life.  Start budgeting now for a better operating system. 

• Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
• MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma).

The end of support does not mean that the applications running on your system will stop. Even after application updates, which are usually backwards compatible, you should have no problems.

Windows is maintained by Microsoft and not by Adobe. Adobe has no possibility to influence any Microsoft (or third party) provided tool. The ony issue with the end of support of Windows 10 is that there won't be any update anymore, especially security updates. That puts your data at risk, not Adobe's. I wouldn't use any critical service, like banking, credit card, helth services etc after that date. And I wouldn't use Windows 10 in a business critical operation anymore. But the end of Windows 10 support does not concern any services or programs that Adobe offers, except that they won't support Windows 10 anymore. So if you have an issue with Adobe software or services, support will only be provided when using a supported platform.

There is no Windows 12 yet. Some computers simply can't upgrade to 11. I have 2 Laptops in that situation, and I have one desktop where I need to modify the bios settings. Windows 11 is mature now, there is no need to wait, if your system supports it.

Simple words, it won't affect the process. 

One of my devices which I use to upload to Adobe stock has Windows 7 and works properly.
