Out of focus?

Hi, I got rejected this photo but i don't see it as out of focus - it's shot at 1/250 sec. (f/11 100mm) What to do? Tnx! Bojan

Hi,

according to the IPTC data, the image was taken with an aperture of 5.6 and a 100 mm macro lens. The sharpness range is too small for a landscape image. In your picture only a narrow strip of the meadow is sharply depicted.

I think that it is also generally unusual and not meaningful to use such a lens for landscape pictures. Here, one actually moves rather in the wide-angle range.

OK, I agree about landscape lens, but sometimes maybe someone needs blurred background photo, with nice morning light. In any case because of mist this photo couldn't be sharp.

Hi,

yes, that's right about the fog, but I think at least the fore-, middleground could be more sharp.

Generally one should consider, which concerns blurred backgrounds, that each buyer can achieve this by using image processing.  A broader clientele can certainly be reached by offering them a choice in this regard.
