Register in Adobe Stock Contributor with my active Adoble Cloud ID

Explorer ,
Jan 31, 2023 Jan 31, 2023

Hi everyone,

I want to sign up to the Adobe Stock contributor site, and it has given me an alert that got me confused.

I have already contacted the Adobe support chat, which has given me only general information as "you need to accept terms and conditions to be able to use adobe stock..."

I get this strange alert:

Updated Terms of Use

By closing this window, you’ll be unable to continue using Adobe apps and services. By clicking “Accept and Continue,” you agree that you have read and accepted the Terms of Use.

And what I understand is that I will lose the access to my Adobe Cloud Programs. Any idea what the issue is?

If anybody gets a similar alert, which is annoying, you can risk it an accept this alert.
In my case, I accepted few days ago, and I still have all the programs and Adobe Cloud running fine (kind of fine, because I get some trouble with Illustrator and Photoshop latest version...)
Thanks for all the replies to this issue, very appreciated!

Well, I never got such alert "By closing this window, you’ll be unable to continue using Adobe apps and services. ", doesn't this mean I lose the access to Adobe Programs?

I wouldn't click accept neither. The message is wrong.

It is when you register as contributor in Adobe Stock.

Hi,

as you already been told by the Adobe Support that is the normal message at the beginning if you register to Adobe Stock for the first time if I understand you right. It is a standardized text so it can sound a bit weird. If you would not want to use Adobe Stock and therefore not go foreward with the registration by closing the window you only exit this particular registration process. If you use the same Account for the Creative Cloud and you already Accepted there the Updated Terms then all will be fine. Hope that helps.

regards,
Henrik

Okay, yeah, it is quite weird.  Would be funny to lose access to my programs only because of registering as an Adobe Stock Contributor, but who knows...
Thanks, Hendrik, for your answer.

No that answer is not good. You are cancelling your account. At least the message looks like that. I would be interested in seeing the URL.

Well, maybe it is a bug or something going wrong with the alerts, I guess. But Adobe I quite slow in responding...

There is something not right. I do not know what and where you did do, what you did, but it looks like you are cancelling you Adobe Creative Cloud subscription and not that you are appliying for a contributor account.

I used the same URL as here in your video. Just I got an alert that you did not get.

Thanks, Abambo, for your answer.

This kind of alerts are so annoying. But okay, I accepted and for now I still have my programs... hope that I keep my plan, because the alert is really not helpful.

I received this message when I changed my password today. I was frantically trying to figure out how to not click the button, but I couldn't log in without clicking "accept." I closed my eyes and clicked it. And, somehow I can still use the software. I figured, well, maybe this is the end of my graphics career? I was telling myself, "look at the bright side, you can save some money that you pay every month for the programs..." But it still works. I am getting some weird "trial membership" window and I pay for the software, so I'll see how that turns out....

The brute force way that Adobe presented this as a way to get you to accept their terms and conditions is a bit alarming; however there is absolutely no harm in accepting it and moving on.

Not if you use them to make money. 😉
