Technical issues?

Community Beginner ,

Hello everyone!
I had some of my photos rejected due to technical issues. Could anybody help me understand why?
Thanks in advance

1) lacks sharp focus and the left side of the frame is overexposed

2) also not in sharp focus and noise in the shadows. Looks like you're using window light. A reflector on the shadow side will even up the exposure.

3) similar lighting issues and you've cropped off the top of the cake

As a Stock customer, I wouldn't buy any of these images, sorry.

Also, did you buy these Panettone cakes or did you make them yourself?  I ask because there appears to be a trademark stamp on the paper cake liner.

You can't use another company's branding in your own Stock work as that would violate copyright/property protection laws.

Hi Nancy!
Thanks for your advice, but I'm just trying to understand why my photos were rejected technically and learn how I could improve them.
BTW, it is not a trademark stamp on the paper, just a design...

Design is also protected by IP. And it may well be a trademark signature. The moderator will not know and will refuse to be on the safe side. Best is simple neutral plates and paper.

Sorry, but your focus is too narrow and the lighting is not good. Avoid the harsh shadows.

023 is underexposed (see the histogram:

Abambo_0-1639306953807.png), the plate and the paper may have IP problems. As for the light, avoid those dark firm shadows. Use indirect flashing and/or reflectors (like a simple white surface like a paper or styropor or a white sheet). For the flash, you can also use a diffuser.

019: is also underexposed. You should photoshop small imperfections like stains on the table:

Well, and my remarks on the IP are still valid.

And then there is @Nancy OShea's remark. Refusal could also be Commercial appeal. And even if they would be accepted, they would generate none to no sales.
