Unfair Account Ban After Payout Request – No Response from Support for Nearly a Month

Community Beginner ,
Aug 12, 2025 Aug 12, 2025

I am a long-time contributor creating original photos and videos, shot and produced entirely by myself — no AI-generated content. Recently, my account was suddenly deactivated right after I made my first payout request.

This is extremely concerning because:

  • I had been uploading and selling content without issues for months.

  • My portfolio contains only my own authentic work.

  • I received no clear explanation for the ban.

After the ban, I contacted Adobe Stock Support immediately, providing all necessary details. It has now been nearly a month with no reply or resolution.

This raises serious questions:

  • How can contributors trust Adobe if accounts can be banned right after payout requests?

  • Is this a system error, or is there another reason why payouts are blocked without explanation?

Contributors put time, skill, and resources into producing high-quality content. Sudden bans without transparency not only damage trust, but also leave creators unpaid for their work.

I’m posting here to request urgent attention to my case and to highlight this issue for the contributor community.

Thank you.

Each time a payment request is made, your account and account transactions are reviewed. If something is suspicious, your account is inactivated until the issue is resolved. This can also occur if someone reports you for suspicious activity or IP theft. If you have already contacted Adobe using the link provided, you have done all you can do. Now you must wait until Adobe informs you of the reason your account is banned. This can take weeks or even months. After being told the reason, you can appeal the finding using this link.

Thank you for your response.
I would like to clarify that the previous IP-related issue you mentioned was already fully resolved. I had direct communication with Adobe’s review team, removed all flagged content, and my account was reinstated. Since then, I continued uploading only original photos and videos without any IP concerns.

This recent account ban happened immediately after I requested my first payout. No specific reason has been provided, and it feels unrelated to the past case since it had already been closed for weeks. I have contacted Adobe Support through the provided link almost a month ago, but there has been no reply or clarification.

It’s very concerning that a contributor’s account can be suddenly banned right after a payout request, especially without clear explanation. This creates uncertainty for contributors and damages trust in the platform.

I suspect accounts that have had previous issues are flagged so that a further investigation can take place going forward, even if the original issue was corrected. You said your account was disabled "immediately" upon your payout request, which would suggest such a flag being in place.

Thank you for your insight.
The previous IP-related issue was already fully resolved — Adobe’s review team instructed me to remove all related content, which I did immediately within the required timeframe, and my account was reinstated without any further warnings or problems for almost a month.

During that time, I uploaded only new, original work without any IP concerns. That’s why I’m confused why my account was flagged again right after my first payout request.
If this is due to a residual “flag” from the past issue, it feels unfair since the matter had already been officially closed.

I would appreciate if Adobe could clarify whether this was a system error or a new issue, so I can address it properly.

I understand. And it's likely your account will be reinstated if no issues are found. It's probably just a standard procedure if a contributor had prior issues.

I hope that will be the case as well. If I truly made a mistake, I am willing to accept the consequences.
However, what I am not satisfied with is the fact that there has been no clear reason provided for the account suspension, and despite contacting support, I have not received any response at all.

It must be very upsetting, and obviously disheartening.

It's virtually impossible to believe this was due to payout requeston Adobe's part.

1- Is this the first payout you have requested?

2- Are you in the US, and was your tax forms current? If your account was linked to unpaid earnings or payment issues (e.g., unverified PayPal/Payoneer or tax forms), this could trigger a suspension.

3- did you try making another account?  DON'T do that

Search in all your email boxes includding trash bin for any emails from adobe that you may have missed.

By the way, earnings are paid out within 30–45 days after cancellation, provided your account meets the minimum payout threshold.

I don't know what else to say... other than keeping the us the community up to date with how this gets resolved. Be smart and patient about it, and don't let your emotions take you  down the rabbit hole this is some kind of conspiracy against you or contributors.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you for your comment and suggestions.

To clarify:

  1. Yes, this was my first payout request.

  2. I am not based in the US, and all my payment details and tax information are complete and verified.

  3. I have not created another account.

The situation is not related to unpaid earnings, missing documents, or unverified payment accounts. The only previous issue I had was an IP-related case, which was fully resolved weeks before this incident — all flagged content was removed, my account was reinstated, and I continued uploading original photos and videos without any problems.

The ban happened immediately after I requested the payout, and I have not received any response from Adobe Support for almost a month. This is why I’m concerned — because there’s been no clear explanation, and the timing feels highly questionable.

I understand why you would feel that way.

Your added context does imply the IP conflict you had may have overlap and not completely resolved.

The last thing I suggest is using AI to help you on how to solve this issue.

I'm confused by your remarks.  Long-time contributors have been here for years, not months. And they've made multiple payout requests.

Adobe likely detected suspicious account activity. Your payout request may have triggered an account audit. Be patient. It could take several weeks for a reply. Work on other projects. Submit work to other services.
