I mistakenly wrote an incorrect description for the photo provided TO ME FOR verification. This was my first time encountering such a situation, and I accidentally wrote a description for a photo I had uploaded instead of the one shown by the site.
I apologize for the error and would appreciate any guidance on how to correct this mistake.

You are not addressing Adobe here in this forum. We are fellow Contributors. Are you referring to the second captcha which now sometimes appears when you're submitting assets for review to Adobe Stock? If Adobe accepted the wrong description that you provided, I don't think there's any harm, and I doubt whether there's any human review of the answers submitted for these captcha images.

Simple enough. If it's still in the Review page, delete the image and re-upload it with the correct description. If it has been accepted, you can do the same. Just delete it.

I suppose it's just an additional test, as bots are probably surmounting the initial captcha test. And it may be, that they are milking users for describing images. 😉

Ah, I misunderstood your question. @Jill_C is correct, you probably could have written anything to describe the captcha image and you would have gained access.

Captchas are Adobe's way of filtering out robot submissions.
Start over and this time pay attention to the questions.
This user-to-user community isn't Adobe.

There is no need to apologize.
First we are contributors as you and not Adobe and second, I can understand, if you are really rushing to work, that you can misread the screen in front of you. It's new and I wouldn't pay too much attention to that description.
