Very high sales today

Today, the sales volume of my friend and I's account is very high, several times higher than usual, is there any designer like this today? In such a situation, the account will basically be blocked. I have blocked the account twice because of the high sales volume of a certain day, and this time it is estimated that it will be blocked again. But what is strange this time is that the sales of several of my designer friends' stores are extremely high. Some are new stores that have just opened, and some are old stores that have been in business for a year. This site is no longer fit for purpose. I see a lot of posts in the forum that the store is closed because of high sales on a certain day. The designer worked hard and spent a lot of time, but it was wiped out because of an unwarranted "abnormal sales volume". Our designers are like lambs waiting to be slaughtered! Designers with abnormal sales today, don't be happy, the probability of your store being blocked is basically 100%!

I don't understand why your account would be blocked if you make good sales. The goal is to sell images, it is in the interest of all parties to sell.
So I come back to my question, why blocked if the sales are good???

Yes, that's it, if you have a particularly high sales day, the account will be banned, you can look through the posts of other banned accounts, many designers have been banned for this reason!

If your sales volume is particularly high on a certain day and you don’t withdraw cash, everything is normal. Once you withdraw cash, your account will be blocked and the money in it will be frozen. All $600 in my account was confiscated. Several of my designer friends are like this, no matter how much you email them, they will ignore you, your account will be permanently banned, so I have given up on this website! This is a rogue website!

Adobe has methods for determining whether the high sales activity resulted from actual paying customers or via other illegal methods.

You say "my friend and I's" account. You cannot share an account with someone. The Contributor Agreement requires YOU to sign, certifying that you have the legal right to all the assets you upload.

Clause 4.1. - Your represent that you own Al rights, title and interest in and to the work..."

You can't do that if multiple people are uploading content. This violation of the Contributor Agreement can cause your account to be blocked.

"My friends and I" means that my design and designer friends and I open our own stores and upload our own design works! My account has been in use for almost a year, do you know the rules? My sales are gradually increasing every month. Is your ""sales anomaly"" judged by a machine or manually? Besides, I can control the many pictures that customers want to buy from me?

Adobe does not reveal the methods by which they identify suspicious accounts; certainly if they did so, users would find ways to defeat the algorithms. In addition to the automatic scanning for suspicious sales jumps, an account can also be flagged for investigation if a Buyer or another user reports an IP violation or a poor quality asset.

Methods to detect high-volume sales from strange sources:

  • All sales are from the same IP address.
  • All sales are using the same credit card (and the credit card may be stolen).
  • Sales from 30-day test accounts, different Adobe ID, same or different credit cards, same IP.
  • Multiple sales of the same asset to the same Adobe ID.

There are other patterns that would rise the alarm bells.

And I suppose that there are filers that help to evaluate the situation.

This is the behavior of buyers, and we designers can do nothing. What the website should do is to ban those malicious purchase accounts, not to ban designers.

Your website handles things by making the wait, the endless wait! There is no clear and reasonable explanation, or it can't be solved here, so lock the post!

It's not "my website". I am a Contributor, not an Adobe employee. This forum is provided by Adobe for use by Contributors, and Adobe employees rarely participate in this forum. The "endless wait" you refer to is entirely caused by the massive influx of Generative AI assets, and Adobe is still grappling with that volume.

What I mean by endless waiting is that when they deal with the closure of the store, they will only send a letter of the reason for the closure of the store, and then no matter how you explain it to them, they will ignore you! Designers and websites are in a coexistent relationship. How can a website develop without excellent works designed by designers? The current practice of the website is very disrespectful to designers. The store is closed as soon as it is said, and the designer is not given a chance to explain. You can look at the recent posts by designers, too many stores are closed due to abnormal sales, and then such posts will be deleted after a while, I believe mine will be deleted soon!

Posts on this subject are not being deleted. The only posts that are deleted here are those that constitute spam, such as advertisements for other products. The delay that you refer to, in which it can take weeks to resolve an account issue, is also related to the huge influx of AI assets.

Sales are often pushed which results in images receiving a higher ranking in the search results. If Adobe believes thgis is the case, they will close your account. You agreed to the terms of use which states they can close an account without cause. If you do not agree to the terms, then stop using Adobe. That is the contract you agreed to.

Can designers control customer purchasing behavior? I have been doing it for almost a year, and the sales volume is gradually increasing every month, won't the website check it? Is it the designer's own purchase behavior, and the website can't even find out this? When there is no reasonable explanation, it will only say "If you do not agree to the terms, then stop using Adobe." Okay, can't I do it if I don't do it on this website!

Gradually increased sales is no problem. Buying your own images or the same user continueously buying your images might be alarming. Maybe images being bought after "strange" search keywords were used to find them.

Like @Jill_C  said, we are not Adobe employees. It does no good to complain to us. We can only tell you what we have learned from other contributors and some interaction with actual employees. I wish you luck.

You should follow discussions like this on this forum, there are multiple. Accounts get suspended (either temporarily or permanently), when there are extraordinarily high sales numbers and those sales could be caused by fraud.

Account suspensions are a frequent topic of discussion here in the Forum. Scan back and peruse some of the previous posts. Most of those suspensions are caused by fraudulent sales and other violations of the guidelines and Contributor Agreement.

Hi @Yang Damon ,

I'm not sure what the ranting is about. If the sales are deemed genuine your account will not be closed. If Adobe is suspicious of fraudulent activities, the have the exclusive right to do what ever they see fit to protect their platform's integrity. Adobe is transparent regarding their exclusive right and the consequences to your account. Once you say yes you have taken onto yourself the risk of loosing your account in event of Adobe find it fit to close it.

Adobe being a rogue.

I don't believe a rogue would work with contributors to keep their account active. One contributor reported such experience on another forum and from what I understand from your post, either you or your friend has multiple closer - meaning you are give criteria to meet while your account is being monitored. If you do not comply your account will be closed indefinitely.

I also see revelation of people soliciting a fee to download contributors files, allowing the file owner to earn large royalty from the downloads. When interviewed the solicitor reveals that he gets business. If I know this, Adobe knows and knows even more. I don't think Adobe blocks an account without a reason. I also believe either directly or indirectly you are informed of the reason. Also I don't believe you are letting us in on the full story that leads to a closed account and the high points is what you keep back. There is nothing anyone on this forum can do to assist you. If you must wait on Adobe, you must wait. If you believe you're ignored, cut your losses and move on. Take this as a lesson and submit elsewhere, if you are band from starting another Account here. Bashing Adobe in a public forum will not help.

Regards

Jacquelin

Am I telling the truth? Please see clearly! Then please tell me why it is blocked when withdrawing cash, and everything is normal without withdrawing? Then why didn't you give a detailed reason after it was closed? I just suspected that one day the sales volume was high and I was blocked, that's all! I also want to know why the sales volume is suddenly very high one day while I am doing it. This phenomenon did not happen to me alone. Don’t say anything to buy my own for ranking. My sales have been very good. The works I made are just For a certain category, there are not many on the website, so I can accept the website test openly! By the way, the week my account was banned, I also entered the third place in the designer sales list!

Now I just want to know the real reason for being banned, that's all, every time I reply with abnormal sales, and every time I withdraw cash! If there is a problem with the account, why not ban it when it is found out, why do you have to wait until the designer withdraws the money? Then all the money in the account was confiscated. What did the designer get for his hard work, and what is this behavior of the website?

Hi @Yang Damon ,

You are not addressing Adobe here. You will not get a definite answer here. Having an understanding of the financial system as regards the prevalence of fraud and the rigorous checks and due diligence that businesses have to do to maintain their business would explain why when payouts are requested. For example, that might be the reason payout duration moves from overnight to two weeks and the possibility of longer periods. I've seen worst than this at other companies that prompt an investigation into what was going on. It all boiled down to the prevalence of fraud and the restriction implemented. I assume when someone buys from your account everything is automated based on the web page programming. When you request payment you enter the manual realm. Your account is highlighted and scrutinized for irregularities and validity. They have to make certain basic checks. Based on experience the amount you get for the duration is inconsistent and exorbitant so other checks are made. They do what they have to do to proceed with the investigation.

On a serious note, something is definitely wrong. If you have absolutely nothing to do with these spikes, and they are triggering an alarm then you should probably introduce some security checks and changes to all your accounts and computer.

Best wishes

Because Adobe does a check at that moment, if there is reason to be suspicious.
