Adobe stock images licensing: Permissions regarding editing and use

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I am just looking for some general guidance regarding editing and uing adobe stock video footage.  Can anyone advise if editing video footage is permitted (primarily just talking about changing colours) after I have purchased and downloaded a stock image?

Thanks for any help in advance,

Matt

Yes, that's permitted. Indeed, it's quite the essence of stock. You take a stock asset and change it into what you want to have it look like. There are very few limits, and they are laid out in the licence terms.

(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).
