Images won't update automatically in my library after licensing since updating Indesign to the latest version. I now have to download an image from the Stock website and replace it in Indesign. Why did it stop updating?

Thanks for contacting us and I'm sorry that you're having issues with this.  I've tried to reproduce the issue on my end and cannot see a problem.  I am...
1. Upgrading to the latest version of In Design

2. Searching for an image

3. Adding the image to my library

4. Adding the image to the canvas on ID

5. Attempting to license the image (either from the CC Library in ID or using the Shopping Cart icon on the image in the canvas)

When I do this I see the image license and then download and replace the non-watermarked image in the canvas.

Are these the steps where you are seeing the issue?

I know you said that you have updated to the latest version.  Which version is this?

Have you checked to see if the Creative Cloud Desktop is at its latest version.  You should be able to go into Help on CCD and select Check for Updates.  You can also make sure that "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date" is selected in the preferences of CCD.

Once you do that, which version of that do you see?

Are you on a Windows or Mac platform?

Can you check these items out and let me know what you find?

Thanks

Jay

I am getting the same issue in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. All apps are up to date.

I have the same issue in Illustrator (yes, it is the latest version - it has been happening for a couple of years now through all of the updates in that time). I add an image into my library from adobestock and place that into a draft illustrator file. Once the draft is signed off I click the license image icon and go through the process of licensing the image. The library does not update the thumbnail to the licensed version. I have to go into adobestock in a browser, go to my license history and download the image then manually add that into the library. I have tried clicking the cloud icon at the bottom of the library panel but it always tells me the library is up to date. Really annoying when I have to do this for multiple images in a single job.
