Why isn't Adobe Stock included in our Creative Cloud subscription

Engaged ,

I just don't understand it.  We pay a ton of money EVERY month to have the Adobe Creative Cloud but we have to pay extra for Adobe Stock.  This just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Here's what I would suggest - first select the "Free" drop down selection in the top search bar, then enter search term "Christmas", then open up the filter panel on the left side of the screen to further refine your search within the Free collection. Below the Free image you will see other similar assets in "More From this Series"; however those aren't necessarily free. If they don't have the Blue Bar that says "License for Free" they're not part of the Free Collection.

I can understand where you're coming from. However, if I buy a new car and want to include some add-on features, I wouldn't expect to pay the base price. It's the way it is, and it's not likely to change. Granted, a limited number of stock assets would be nice with a subscription, but it's unreasonable to expect an unlimited number of downloads over time. Contributors need to be paid.

You have access to >1.1 million free assets in the Adobe Stock Free Collection. Access to the larger database of >590 million assets is by subscription only. Think of it like your cable tv subscription. Certain channels are included in the basic package, but if you want access to a wider range of channels you pay more.

Thanks for the reply.  I see this in PP when looking for Motion Graphics there is a check box for Adobe Stock.  It does have two boxes to check as well (Free & Premium) to further filter your search.  So, yes, Adobe Stock does provide assets like you mentioned.

But it is so difficult to really see what the image or motion graphics item is.  So I head to the online stock store but am still frustrated.

However, when I go into Adobe Stock online and type in "Christmas" in the search bar it shows me all of the assets available.  To try to find free items, I click on filters and change the price filter from "ALL" to "Standard content."  When I find an image it STILL wants to do the free trial before I can download them.  I wish Adobe would add "FREE" to their price filter.

At the very top of the stock.adobe.com page, there is a list of links, one of which is "Free." Have you tried that link?

Thank you @Jill_C !  This helps so much and it is easier to see online.  So when I click on the blue "License" bar it downloads the items.  Also, the little drop-down box "FREE" helps out so much as well.

Have a great day and a very Merry Christmas (since that is what I was searching for LOL)!

The Creative Cloud Abo with all the applciations was advertised with "more than 1 million free stock images etc.". But now I see, that they are for free for everyone? I don't even need the creative cloud abo with ALL applications for that?

The Free Collection, comprising ~1.1 million assets, is truly royalty-free to anyone and requires no paid subscription to access. The complete collection contains >617 million assets and requires a paid Adobe Stock subscription. Adobe Stock subscriptions are separate from other Creative Cloud subscriptions and not included in CC All Apps.IMG_1430.jpegIMG_1431.jpeg

So this advertising, that I get > 1 million stock images with creative cloud subscription is scam? Because I don't even need the subscription for that?

I wouldn't call it a scam. A scam is a dishonest scheme to gain money or possessions from someone fraudulently, and Adobe isn't trying to get you to pay extra for the Free Collection. Accessing the Adobe Stock database is built-in to some of the apps, therefore it's a feature/benefit for those who subscribe to CC apps.

One might just use Photoshop to remove the watermarks with the new A.I. tech... now it is free.

Watermarked files are low-resolution previews, unfit for commercial use.

You get the quality you pay for. 😜
