Hi,

I´ve been trying the new spline and paths nodes, they are incredible and can buiild awesome things with them.

The problme taht i found is that i was trying to build a smart material with them, but when i publish it as a .sbsar, on painter i have the error [EngineProcedural] Failed to decode Substance. if im using this new spline nodes.

Is it somthing taht you guys are aming to fix?

Thanks!

Hello!

I understand your frustration, the new Path & Spline nodes rely on features exclusive to the new Substance engine v9, which will be integrated in Substance 3D Painter very soon. The wait will be worth it!

In the meantime, I appreciate your patience!

Best regards.

This happens to me as well. It's annoying to have such a big feature to be added to Designer only for it to be incompatible Painter. What a massive oversight.
In my case it's not even a smart material but just the presence of the spline node in one of my graphs from Designer results in all the graphs not working in Painter. They all appear white after importing them.
