I'm not sure what parameters to chose for Normal Map for 3ds Max Arnold.

DirectX or OpenGL?

Alpha Channel Content - Fill Alpha with input or Force Alpha to 1?

I'm using a standard surface in Arnold.

Hello @jamesp81001848,

Thanks for the question.

From what I know, Arnold uses OpenGL. Therefore, as long as you're rendering with Arnold, you should use OpenGL. If the map is already made with DirectX, you can still invert the Y axis and the normal map will work as expected.

I am not an Arnold expert, but for the Alpha channel, I guess it depends if you're using transparency or not. If not, you can probably Force Alpha to 1.

Best regards,
