Importing from other programs into Substance

Hi,

I am wondering if 3D modles of furniture I make on AutoDesk Inventor and Solidworks, can be imported into the Substance programs and fully worked on?

Thanks.

    Hello,

The Import and export formats page of our documentation lists the 3D scene file formats supported by each Substance 3D application for import or export.

The extent to which an asset can be worked on depends on the state it is in when imported (mesh sanity, UVs, ...). For instance, working on a material or baking textures in Substance 3D Designer can be challenging depending on the mesh's UVs.

    Best regards.
