I think that not having Modeler support for MacOS is a major hole in the 3D pipeline for Mac users. I started the 3D trial for the 3D collection, but I think I'll cancel that subscription until modeling support is available for Mac.
Having Modeler available on the Mac is essential, the rest of the substance suite is a great addition to our tools, but feels a bit pointless without a way to create native models. I'm still learning/playing with 3d and this will open up the 3d world for me, I don't really want to go down the 3rd party route of Maya, Blender etc if I can help it
Tonight, I planned to start exploring Substance 3D Modeler. However, I found out that it's currently not available on my MacBook Pro. Is there an estimated time of arrival for when it will be accessible?
Just to share with the community - I've been able to get Modeler working on iMac Pro with Windows 10 installed. It's an old version that's compatible, but can still model just as well as the latest release. I don't know technically what would keep a MacOS release for Modeler, because the Apple hardware absolutely runs it.
I downloaded the trial version yesterday for the same reason. I thought Modeller came with the package (as advertised in the Creative Cloud platform). Sadly, I wasn't able to download the app on my Mac. Being that is the case, I think it should be widely advertised on the Adobe website that Modeller is NOT available as part of the package for Mac users yet. I will cancel my subscription until an official release date is disclosed.
Just waiting for this to happen, so the next production can be riddled with 3d sketches/concepts. I've tried pretty much all of the vr modeling apps out there and modeler still is by far the best - imho. So from that point of view, I'd rather postpone the iPad version.
And M1 machines won't be supported at all? That's a given?
I download Blender, no substance modeler on Mac. We have try substance stager, sampler, painter.... but no modeler on mac. Blender is a single software for modeling, texturing, directing, animating, filming... I was hoping for a lot from Adobe.
