Hi @feklee,

 

I'd personally recommend using .FBX format. For the textures, the common .PNG should perfectly do the job.

Thanks! FBX makes sense. But PNG is only 8 bit. Wouldn't it be better to use a EXR?

 

My intention is to do brightness / contrast adjustments to the texture, not to paint on it.

Can you not export a 16bit .PNG ? It kind of depends on the intention. It's usually not necessary for Roughness or Metallic maps, but it can be useful for the Base Color, and close to mandatory for Normal/Height map.
