Question

Is it possible to download Mesh+Height+Normal map?

Hello, I'm drawing a texture at the moment and I have a little problem. When i'm exporting my texture and use normal map in the game, my model doesn't look particularly convex. But in the Substance Viewport it looks perfect. Maybe someone knows how to fix this problem. Also I detected, that Mesh+Height+Normal map is great as a normal map for me. Maybe there is a way to download this map and use it as a Normal map. Thank you in advance.

Hello @HuntsMann76,

Could you send us a picture from the 3D model in Substance Painter and in your rendering software in order to illustrate the issue.

For the Mesh+Height+Normal map display, this is usually the map exported in most of the export preset: The converted Normal Map

@Matyi28985726iz5o  The use of those converted normal maps was given by Cyril in 2023 in his first answer at the top of this thread.

Oh sorry I just somehow missed... I'm stupid blind.
Anyway, I found out sometimes even this method doesn't work with smart materials. We have to save the mesh+height+normal view as 2D view. The problem that normal gamma is wicked (shifted) so need to adjust in PS.
