Some hard surfaces have an in/out parameter which you can use to reverse parts of the surface, but for a complete reversal click on color space and choose dx or gl. See below for the effect of the in out paramater and the GL/DX selection:

Hi,

The format you decide for your project setting is setting the export format of your normal map (DirectX: X+, Y-, Z+; OpenGL: X+, Y+, Z+).

As for the resources in your library, they don't hold a format per se, as they are dependent on the intent of the artist that made them. That is why the resources you present in your video have a switch in/out.

Changing the output isn't the best solution to your problem unless you really know what you want to do with the resource.

You can rotate the environment light independently of your viewport (left click in it and drag left or right). This may be the source of your confusion in the first half of your video...

I hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Geoffroy SC

Hi,

You have a parameter that allows you to switch in/out whether you are in DirectX or OpenGL.

Kind regards,
