Removing "Utility" and "Raw" from naming on export

Hi all 🙂  Even though it seems so straightforward, I have always had a bit of trouble with the templates and exporting textures, so apologies if this has been covered but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

I'm having trouble exporting with the correct names... if I am using ACES color management, the exporter adds on "Utility" and "Raw" to the texture names.  I duplicated a preset and deleted (_$colorSpace)(.$udim) from the output template, but that didn't work.  I had to switch back to default color management to get the texture names exported the way I wanted them.  Any idea what I might be doing wrong here?

Hello @dieBuffel,

Thanks for your patience.

The expression (_$colorspace) is the one adding the name "Utility" or "Raw" to your file. (On the other hand, the expression (.$udim) has nothing to do with the color management, but with the udim workflow).

Therefore, deleting the (_$colorspace) expression from your template should delete it from you file name. When you duplicate or create a new export preset, make sure to also select it under the Output Template before exporting your textures.

With that being said, and because it seems you already did everything I wrote up there, I've tried to mimic the possible bug on my laptop, but everything worked perfectly. With which version of Substance 3D Painter are you working and which os (Windows, Mac, Linux) ?

Have a nice day,
